Description

Capitec Pay provides your customers with a quick and easy way to make safe, card-free payments. There's no need to enter your card details or share bank login details at checkout. Customers simply approve payments on the Capitec app.

Paying is as easy as 1, 2, 3:

  1. Choose Capitec Pay as payment method

  2. Enter your cellphone or ID number

  3. Look out for App notification and tap to approve payment using secret Remote PIN

Repeat customers can simply login to Capitec App to complete the payment.

Integration

Capitec Pay is available on the Redirect Payment Page integration. Go here for details on the integration required for Capitec Pay (Note that for Capitec Pay transactions, payments must be approved within Capitec App) For the Capitec Pay Verified Payment Flow, the following field is mandatory: RegionalId via the integration and must be passed with the customers 13 Digit RSA ID Number.

Transaction Flows

The following transaction flow provides an indication of the user experience after redirecting from your checkout page.

 

Customer selects Capitec Pay as payment option

 

Customer enters cellphone or ID number

 

 A count down will take place until the payment is processed

(while App notification prompts customer to approve payment using secret Remote PIN)

 

Transaction complete

 

Capitec Pay Verified Payment Flow

Once the customer is redirected from the merchant website, they will be presented with the following landing page where the customer details (ID number) to initiate payment will automatically be populated the customer will only need to click pay to Finalise the payment. (customer will not need to capture any details)
