What is M-Pesa?

M-Pesa is a Mobile Money service provided by Vodafone. It enables its users to perform money transfers, payments and micro-financing via a mobile phone, without the need for a bank account; M-Pesa was specifically designed to cater for the unbanked.

How does PayU work with M-Pesa?

PayU’s M-Pesa integration allows a customer to make payment for merchant products and services using their stored value within their M-Pesa account. A customer would select the M-Pesa payment option, capture their mobile number, complete the authentication on their mobile phone and confirm the payment.

How do I integrate with PayU’s M-Pesa payment method?

The M-Pesa payment method is available via the Redirect Payment Page integration.
