Mobile platform integration

Mobile platform integration

Currently, PayU Africa does not have native software development kits (SDK) for the more popular mobile platforms (Android, iOS and Windows Mobile).

It is recommended that the PayU API’s are implemented as a server to server architecture (S2S) and that your mobile application act as a 'thin client' to collect data on behalf of your server. In this manner, any callback mechanism is managed between your server and your thin client and is independent of the payment process.

In order to ensure a seamless mobile payment experience, it is recommended that your mobile application integrate with the PayU MEA Enterprise API, which will require that the implementation interact with the gateway in a manner that is depicted below:

API call overview (Enterprise API).

With this in mind, you are able to still integrate with the PayU MEA gateway natively and further information is available at QuickStart in this regard.
