1. Activate your merchant portal account

You will receive an email from PayU's SafeShop requesting Once your merchant account has been created, PayU will generate an email prompting you to activate your merchant portal account by clicking on the “Activate my account” link where after you would be redirect to a web page to enter your selected password.

  2. on the page and click “forgot password” link to have the account activation email resent.

2. Retrieve your store's API credentials

Once your merchant portal account has been activated you will need to retrieve your store's production details. These details you will need to pass onto your developer/technical team in order to integrate your website with PayU.

Follow the steps below to obtain your store API credentials

The activation email that will be sent from support@payu.co.za  and would have a subject line “Payu Account Activation”.

You will need to click on the “Activate my account” link where after you would be redirect to a web page to enter your selected password.

2. Retrieve your store's production safekey

 Log in to the PayU SafeShop Merchant Portal (https://

) with the primary merchant account and password.

  1. From the navigation menu at the top of the page go to Settings -> Integration details
