Transactions Search


Transaction searches can be facilities with the use of 3 search facilities:

 

1. QuickSearch

The QuickSearch facility allows users search for a specific reference on the to all of the PayU stores they are associated to.

The facility located at the top of the page allows for searching on the following types of reference using the green dropdown.

  • Merchant reference:
    This is the reference issued by a merchant's system and provided to the PayU platform when sending a transaction for processing to PayU 
  • PayU Reference
    This reference is issued by the PayU platform and provided back to the merchant's system as part of the response at the time of processing a transaction. 
  • Gateway reference
    This reference is generated when the PayU platform interacts with a third party platform and provided back to the merchant's system as part of the response at the time of processing a transaction. 
  • Bank reference
  • This reference is generated for a credit card transaction when the PayU platform interacts with the bank and is provided back to the merchant's system as part of the response at the time of processing a transaction. 

To use:

  1. select the type of reference you would like to search for
  2. enter the full reference number (partial searches are not supported)
  3. press the enter button

 

2. QuickFilter

The Quickfilter facility allows for a user to quickly filter for transactions that match a specific payment method. 


Located on the left hand side the facility support filtering on the following payment methods

  • Credit Card
  • SmartEFT
  • DiscoveryMiles
  • eBucks
  • Masterpass 


    When clicking on any of the filtering options transactions matching todays's date will automatically be retrieved and displayed on the search results section.


 

 

3. Advanced Search

The Advanced search is located at the top of the search results page and allows refinement of the transaction search parameters


Parameters include:

Date range

Provides search functionality to retrieve transactions within a date range

Reference

If populated it will the platform will search for transactions matching the type of reference chosen from the green drop down

Store

Provides search functionality to retrieve transactions for PayU stores associated to the user.

Transaction type

Provides search functionality for transactions matching one or more transaction types which include:

  • Credit
  • Finalize
  • Payment
  • Reserve
  • Reserve cancel

Transaction status

Provides search functionality for transactions matching one or more transaction status which include:

  • Expired
  • Failed
  • New
  • Processing
  • Staged
  • Successful
  • Timeout

Payment method

Provides search functionality for transactions matching one or more payment methods which include:

  • Credit card
  • Discovery miles
  • eBucks
  • EFT
  • MasterPass
    Other payment methods to follow

Basket Amount

Provides search functionality to retrieve transactions with a basket amount within a range


These transaction can also be exported as well as printed via the button made available on the advanced search page. 

 


Transaction search results

 

Search results action bar

The transaction search results bar has the following information

  1. Amount of transactions currently displayed
    This is shown on the top left hand side. Based on the maximum amount of transactions more pages can be viewed by using the pagination facility (described further below) located on the far left hand side

  2. Change the maximum amount of transactions displayed
    The maximum amount of transaction displayed changed by clicking on the dropdown box in the middle of the results page and selecting one of the options in the dropdown

  3. Pagination
    Thisis facilitated by clicking on the First, Previous, Next, Last links on the far right hand side

  4. Column based sorting
    Transaction can be sorted by clicking on the column header located in the green header bar at the top of the search results bar


Accessing order details

A transaction's order details can be viewed by clicking on:

  •  the PayU reference
  • the + sign and then on more details

Transaction life cycle management

When clicking on the + icon, any of the following options are made available based based on the current state of the transaction - Credit, Reserve Cancel and Finalise. When clicking on the these options a popup box will appear with the relevant details for the applicable action.
